How to choose cabinet drawer slides(part two)

3. Select drawer slides for field test

A good cabinet drawer slide rail has very little resistance when it is pushed and pulled, and when the slide rail is pulled to the end, the drawer will not fall off or tip over. You can also pull out the drawer on the spot and click on it with your hand to see the drawer Whether there is looseness, whether there is a creaking sound. At the same time, where the resistance and resilience of the drawer slide during the drawer pull-out process appear, and whether it is smooth, you also need to push and pull several times on the spot, and observe it to determine.

4. Quality identification of cabinet drawer slides

When choosing cabinets, the quality of the drawer slide rail steel is also the most important. Good cabinet drawers can be pulled out without tipping off, and they are easy to disassemble. Different specifications of drawers have different steel thicknesses and different load-bearing weights. It is understood that a 0.6-meter-wide drawer of a big brand, the drawer slide steel is nearly 3mm thick, and the load-bearing capacity can reach 40-50 kg. When purchasing, you can pull out the drawer and press it hard with your hand to see if it will loosen, squeak or turn over.

5. Pulleys for cabinet drawer slides

Plastic pulleys, steel balls, and wear-resistant nylon are the three most common pulley materials for cabinet drawer slides. Among them, wear-resistant nylon is top grade. Due to the use of American DuPont technology, this pulley has the characteristics of smooth pushing and pulling, quiet and silent, and soft rebound. Push and pull the drawer with one finger. There should be no astringency and no noise.
