Home hardware should pay attention to maintenance

1

Door locks: The locks used on wooden doors are preferably silent locks. The heavier the lock, the thicker the material and the more wear-resistant. On the contrary, the material is thin and easily damaged. Secondly, look at the surface finish of the lock, whether it is fine and smooth without spots. Open it repeatedly to see the sensitivity of the lock cylinder spring.

Lock cylinder: When the rotation is not flexible enough, scrape a small amount of black powder from the pencil lead and blow lightly into the lock hole. This is because the graphite component in it is a good solid lubricant. Avoid dripping lubricating oil, as this will make it easier for dust to adhere.

Floor spring used for ordinary doors: The floor spring of the door should be stainless steel or copper. Before it is officially used after installation, the opening and closing speed of the front and rear, left and right should be adjusted for ease of use.

As for hinges, hanging wheels, and casters: moving parts may degrade performance due to the adhesion of dust during long-term movement, so use one or two drops of lubricating oil every six months or so to keep them smooth.

Sink hardware: faucets and sinks are also kitchen hardware, and their maintenance is also essential. For stainless steel sinks used in most households, the oil stains in the sink should be removed with detergent or soapy water when cleaning, and then cleaned with a soft towel to avoid leaving grease, but steel balls should not be used. , chemical agents, steel brush cleaning, will wear off the stainless steel paint, and will corrode the sink.
