On November 15, 2023, information compiled and released by the Circulation Industry Development Department of the Ministry of Commerce and the China Building Materials Circulation Association showed that the China Building Materials Home Furnishing Boom Index BHI was 134.42 in October, an increase of 2.87 points month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 36.30 points.

Data show that the sales of China's large-scale home building materials stores in October were 148.420 billion yuan, a month-on-month increase of 2.03%, and a year-on-year increase of 79.89%; the cumulative sales from January to October 2023 were 1.289506 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 25.39%.

According to the Industry Research Department of the China Building Materials Circulation Association, currently, the market share of home building materials, dominated by redecoration (secondary, tertiary, etc.) and improvement demand for existing houses, is gradually expanding. In addition, in the past few months, relevant favorable policies related to real estate and home renovation consumption seasons have been frequently issued, which has boosted the release of demand for the property market and decoration. Superimposed on the traditional peak season, the effect of consumption-promoting policies is obvious, and consumer demand for home building materials continues to be released.

This month BHI continued to rise slightly, and sales of home building materials stores above designated size increased by 2.03% month-on-month. Judging from the situation of each BHI sub-index, in the first half of October, major home building materials stores and brands carried out various promotional activities. The market continued the strong sales situation during the "Mid-Autumn Festival + National Day" double festivals. Entering the second half of October, enterprises They have launched “Double Eleven” promotions in advance. Based on this significant increase in customer flow into the store in October, the BHI sub-index "Popularity Index" ranked first in terms of month-on-month increase, with a month-on-month increase of 49.75 points.
