How to ensure smooth operation of drawer slide?Part one

1

When you build a house, you won't have uneven walls, floors, and ceilings. In addition to making the house very unstable, it can also make the installation of doors and windows difficult. The same applies to your cabinets and drawer boxes. If these are not constructed as accurately as possible, it will be extremely difficult to install the ball slide. The drawer slides need to be able to be placed parallel to each other and their mounting surfaces, otherwise they will not move smoothly.

Another way to prepare the project is to predrill the panel before assembly to make it easier to see where the ball slide needs to be installed. The only risk of this method is that if the final product is not completely consistent with your calculation method, your measurement results will be discarded - so please ensure that you are as accurate as possible!

It is important to ensure that there is enough space to install the slide rails. Between the cabinet and the drawer box, ensure that there is a space slightly larger than the width of the slide rail -+0.2mm to+0.5mm is usually enough to ensure a comfortable fit. This space must be constant and parallel between the inner wall of the cabinet and the outer wall of the drawer box.
