Fatigue test of hinge

The use of hinges is quite common in real life. Torque hinges, friction hinges and position hinges are all similar. It allows the two parts to rotate with each other under load. When the load is removed due to its high torsional stiffness, the hinge returns to its original position. Because of this feature, they are used in almost everything from cabinets and car glove boxes to laptops and monitor stands. This wide range of applications often requires the life of these hinges to exceed the life of the product. To ensure this, fatigue is required to verify the life of the hinge in the product.

The traditional method is to drive the opening and closing of the furniture door by the air cylinder. Due to the large number of door opening and closing times during inspection, the air cylinder is prone to aging. The forward and reverse rotation of the furniture door is driven by the motor, and the number of times the furniture door is opened and closed is recorded by a sensor. This method requires high motors and requires a complex control system. In addition, the driving rod of the test bench is a cantilever structure. The movement is unstable, and the connecting rod needs to be hinged on the driving rod through the connecting piece. The connecting rod also needs to rotate in the laboratory itself, so the strength of the connecting piece is high. Therefore, the structure of this device is complicated and the equipment is unstable. At the same time, a complicated control system is required to control the rotation of the motor and count the number of tests.

The new fatigue test method is based on the fatigue test instrument, which is suitable for testing the door hinge opening and closing of furniture cabinets, and the fatigue life testing machine of cabinet door hinges is used to test the repeated fatigue endurance of the hinges of the finished door. The basic principle is: connect the finished furniture sliding door with hinges to the instrument, simulate the situation during the normal use of the door repeatedly open and close, and check the hinge for damage or other conditions that affect the use after a certain number of cycles.
